Can't wait to see one of these test videos with the CT6 plug-in variant to see if the battery is detrimental or advantageous to acceleration.

I would guess the plug-in will likely use the 3.6 LGX. Twin turbo and plug-in don't seem to go together in my mind.

I am just going to wait for the 4.2L V8. The times on those will be like around the mid 4 sec.

I think around 5.2 is a more realistic expectation but at this point, who knows?

Sub six is quite adequate (for me); this is a luxury car and I sure wouldn't give too much weight (on purchase) for only this parameter. Bragging rights; what is this, high school. JMO

It has more torque but goes slower given it is supposed to be a lighter car. Plus paying more just back seat with smaller trunk?

I don't think the 3.0 has a clue that " it's supposed to be in a lighter car"...lol. We've become so jaded today with HP and TQ figures. Though I desire and prefer a V-8, IMHO the 3.0TT has plenty of wampum for this car. Period. Our RT/RT Charger had 350 HP/387 TQ and was heavier. So honestly, the 3.0TT is plenty @404/400. IMO.
This new mill promises to be a pretty special unit, too... can't wait to hear it with my ears the videos suggest a very sweet-sounding engine. Will be interesting to see what they come up with for the V-8.

Point taken; but that's why I injected JMO........................also, the CT6 gives more for that extra cost ('in a side by side') , again JMO.

The TT only comes in AWD . Have to judge other AWD large sedans 0-60 times to properly measure.

there is a market for a full size car luxury car that does sub 5 second 0-60mph
Not that they ever get driven like that...but some just buy them because they can
At this price of car..are you really trying to make a statement about what is a necessity?
I dont think so

While others stand around and contemplate their belly lint to see who has "more", I will be enjoying my car and could care less who approves/likes it, or who has something faster. That is a losing end-game. I learned years ago in hot-rodding that there will ALWAYS be somebody faster. I refuse to live in that world of fear and paranoia and let it rob me of the pure joy of having what I have. For me, the only "statement" I am making when I purchase a car, is solely to the salesperson when I'm closing the deal. That statement is: " I like it. Wrap it up, please". Anything other than that about what and why I purchase what I do is purely imagined by others in the theater of their mind.

I am not sure its about approval
Isn't it human nature to always look for what is better?
to say nothing of corporations..trying to get you to buy their products
Its a competitive world and the "cheese" is always being moved
I think GM thought the way you do for many years
I dont think it served them well when they were "bypassed"
Now they struggle to catch up when the "cheese" was moved
